Human-centered design with today’s tools
Madrid, Spain | Remote work

Hi! My name is Miguel Villate and I solve problems through design. I’ve spent years working in brand management, audiovisual design, interface and user experience design, and editorial design, leading teams and projects. Today I build AI production systems that significantly increase team productivity. The time we gain goes back to what no tool fully solves: creative thinking.

How I work and where I focus
Designing the process too
I trained in Visual Communication Design in Havana and taught Editorial Design before moving into agency work. Since then I’ve worked in brand identity, motion graphics, editorial design, UX/UI and audiovisual production: a deliberately broad path, because real briefs rarely fit into a single discipline. I’ve led teams and projects along the way, but I never stepped away from execution.
I’ve spent the last few years understanding what changes when AI enters the process. I’ve built production workflows that cut timelines to a fraction of the usual, documented so a team can run them without depending on me. But my conclusion is the one that opens this page: tools set the pace, decisions remain human. Speed is only worth it if what you gain is reinvested in judgment.
